Several First Nations communities in BC are currently closed to researchers due to COVID-19. Be sure to check directly with communities and follow local protocols before starting or re-engaging in research.
In support of communities, the FNHA in partnership with Research Ethics BC (REBC), part of the BC Academic Health Science Network, have created a Culturally Safe and Trauma-Informed Practices document for researchers to read and use as a resource when working with First Nations.
